Website revitalization effort!

As the title suggests, I'm writing this blog post primarily to discuss and explain the new website revitalization I'm doing with this 'site! I'll put it simple: I didn't feel like my website was doing what I really wanted it to do, and I want to change that! So, without further ado...
Welcome to SplendidDog 2.0!
While I was fine with how the SplendidDog website looked nobody ever went to it and it was a bit bland. On top of that, when I first made it I focused more on making it look like a 'studio' website which it really isn't!
While I do solo-publish games under my SplendidDog moniker, it's also a personal site and I felt like me trying to make it overly professional was making it feel less personal. It'll still be professional looking I hope but not obnoxiously so. I also believe that it could possibly cause confusion when applying for work because it makes it look like I already work for a 'studio' when I don't, it's just the name I create stuff and freelance under.
Part of this revitalization is using my blog a lot more to talk about a diverse set of things I enjoy. Personal projects, dev tips, talking about games I like, etc. I'm hoping that by focusing more on this and posting more about it in other places, more people will actually visit this site. I'm designing it like a more advanced linktree which allows for more detailed game showcasing, discussion, and things of the like all in one place.
Okay but what does this actually mean?
In short, as of right now, not much! I'll still be posting my normal things on Bluesky, Newgrounds, and Itch. But, I'm hoping to use this as another outlet to talk about and post things as well. It should also hopefully serve as a useful archive of my work which is something that I haven't been good at in the past. Lots of projects lost, and I don't like that! I want to be able to look back at blog posts or project pages, because that's just a nice thing to be able to do.
Because I'm just now starting this revitalization, aspects of the site are very heavily WIP. I'm working to make it clean, functional, and consistent. So please bear with me while I do this, and if you have any suggestions for the site you can offer them / reach out to me at: NathanielMiddleton555@gmail.com!
And if anyone is actually reading this, which I don't anticipate too much given the site is currently dead-as-a-doorknob... thank you! Expect more posts in the future (that aren't just generic update posts)
